Deerdate — Terms of Use

By using Deerdate you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

What Deerdate is

Deerdate is an app for people who eat chay. It pairs you with one other person, based on how you practise, so you can talk and see whether there is something there. Conversations can open into small voice rooms. There are also short text posts called Moments and live broadcasts. It is not a place to sell things.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over. If you are not, you may not use Deerdate, and we will remove your account if we find out.

One account per person. Do not share it, sell it, or use someone else's.

What you agree not to do

This is the whole list, and we enforce it.

• Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone. Including after they block you.
• Post sexually explicit content, or send sexual messages to someone who has not made it clear they are welcome. Romantic interest is what the app is for. Explicit material and unwanted advances are not, and “we matched” is not consent.
• Impersonate another person, or claim to represent Deerdate.
• Advertise, spam, or recruit — no selling supplements, no MLM, no promoting your channel.
• Share anyone's private information, including screenshots of a conversation with identifying details.
• Record a voice room without everyone's knowledge and consent.
• Attack the service — no scraping, no automated accounts, no attempts to break authentication or reach other people's data.
• Break the law where you are.

Disagreeing about food is not a violation. People come here at different stages, and someone asking a beginner's question is the point of the product, not a nuisance.

What happens if you break them

Depending on what happened, we may remove content, restrict your account, or delete it. Serious cases — threats, sexual content involving minors, credible danger — are removed immediately and reported to the authorities where required.

Every report gets a human review. Urgent safety reports are answered within 24 hours; other reports within 72 hours. If we act against your account and you think we were wrong, write to us and a human will look again.

Your content

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you are talking to, which is what makes the app work. That permission ends when you delete your account, except that messages you already sent remain in the other person's conversation with your name removed — see the Privacy Policy for why.

You are responsible for what you say. An automatic filter refuses some text before it is sent, such as scams and threats. It does not read everything and it can miss things. Reports and human review remain our main defence.

Other people's content

People on Deerdate are strangers. We match on how they say they eat, and we do not verify anything anyone tells you. Nothing said on Deerdate is medical or nutritional advice. If you are making a decision about your health or your child's health, talk to a doctor or dietitian.

Meeting in person

Deerdate introduces people who may want to meet. We do not run background checks, we do not verify identity, age, or relationship status, and we cannot tell you whether someone is who they say they are.

If you arrange to meet someone:

• Meet somewhere public the first time, and get yourself there and back.
• Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to be back.
• Do not send money to anyone you have met here. Requests for money, gift cards, or investment help are the most common scam on apps like this one.

You meet at your own risk. Report anyone who pressures you, asks for money, or will not take no for an answer — and you can do it before, during, or after meeting them.

VIP

VIP is an optional paid subscription. You buy it through Google Play or the Apple App Store, and that store handles the payment, the renewal, and any refund under its own rules. Deerdate never sees your payment details. You can cancel in your store's subscription settings. VIP features are available only while VIP is active. With active VIP you may add one profile photo, which is shown only after a human reviewer approves it.

Availability

Deerdate is run by a small operation on a server we run ourselves. It will sometimes be down. We do not promise uptime, and we may change or remove features.

We will give notice in the app before shutting the service down, and you will be able to export your data first.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from You → Delete my account.

We may end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop running the service.

The legal part

Deerdate is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by us — and nothing here takes away consumer rights you have where you live.

These terms are governed by the law of [OWNER TO CONFIRM: JURISDICTION].

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
